We use this blog to communicate about school, and figure things out with a bit of a collective advantage. If we team up a bit, we can go beyond what is expected of us, in terms of cohesion and production. In other words, we learn from each others strengths, contributions and opinions/ideas. The blog also acts as a good form to display/share our achievements with digital and traditional media.

1/3
This is part of a seating room at the Fort Garry Hotel, I submitted it as one of 3 possible rooms to model in 3d. I think it's pretty cool looking with the weird/spooky face on the fireplace. =)

Need sounds for your video? Check out this link!
The sound effects made on this website are recorded and uploaded by users and are completely and utterly free to use. I think if you were to use any of them on a commercial project, you just have to make sure you site the users who uploaded the sounds, but i don't think you need to worry about that for school projects.

WFTW: Branding Assignment
Finally heard back from Kent today, regarding tomorrow's Branding assignment.
- Approximately 3-5 pages (guideline)
- 1.5 Spacing is fine
Did Kent mention whether or not double spacing or single spacing is to be used for our written portion of the WFTW assignment? (Btw, it was mildly amusing trying to Google "double spacing for presentations," I learned quickly that "double rainbow" guy is taking the lead for Google's primary hit for "double..." ...and yes, I caved and finally watched it X/)
I am interested in knowing out of possible spacing options, if he explained the other day in class, which format is acceptable.
As well, in case you didn't grab this puppy off the server, he showed us the evaluation sheet he'll be using to grade us on our oral presentations. Download it here: Eval.pdf
If anyone's curious about making presentations (as am I), I found a few great resources on the web.... after filtering out Mr. Sobbing Rainbow Man.

The WINNITRON 1000!
Hey guys,
Lots of you have heard this already, but i want to make sure as many people as possible find out about this. Especially fellow Red River students. Share this with your friends!
I've been collaborating with local game designers and all round cool guys Alec Holowka and Noel Berry on a fantastic new project called The WINNITRON 1000!
It's in beta stage right now, we've got the computer and controls up and running but it's basically going to be a full-fledged indie games arcade cabinet that can update it's game library wirelessly and allow up to two-players to compete simultaneously!
We're also hosting a jam to make games for the Winnitron right here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. If you are a motivated artist, coder, or musician interested in helping out, check out the full release on Alec's blog.
